Trustmark’s A Gift of Time campaign, which takes place each year during May and June, gives Trustmark associates the opportunity to share their time and talents during business hours by volunteering with a local nonprofit organization. As a part of this year’s campaign, Trustmark associates in the Laurel market partnered with Habitat for Humanity.

Habitat for Humanity works to eliminate substandard housing by assisting homeowners to help them improve or build a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers. Trustmark associates assisted with landscaping the lawn for the first Habitat home in Jones County.

“We were delighted to spend time getting to know the homeowner,” Trustmark Community Market President Greg Bennett stated. “It was truly a rewarding experience to help landscape her new home, as well as work with our team outside of the normal work setting while making a significant impact in the community.”

The A Gift of Time campaign includes Trustmark associates from its 200 locations in Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas. Over the last eight years, Trustmark associates across all five states have collectively given more than 9,500 volunteer hours during the A Gift of Time campaign.
