Members of the New York Fire Department’s Incident Management Team stopped in Laurel to fill up their convoy of about a dozen trucks on the way back home Friday. The specialty team spent two weeks in Houston during the response to Hurricane Harvey in Houston. Lance Chancellor, right, of the Powers Volunteer Fire Department was there to greet the members of FDNY as they stopped in The City Beautiful. Chancellor was part of a group that went to New York to assist after the terrorists’ attacks on Sept. 11, 2011, which killed 343 firefighters.
