Are you worried and stressed about making a certain decision?

We have all walked down this path of uncertainty before and in the process, we’re usually gifted with a stress headache due to decisions and choices.

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world.  Whoever follows me will NEVER walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” John 8:12.

How refreshing! God is telling us He will lead and guide our steps, if we’ll listen and follow. We waste too much precious time trying to make decisions about our lives when all we need to do is “Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and ALL these things will be given to you as well…” Matthew 6:33.

Is it a career or particular job you are trying to decide upon?  If you’ll pray and seek Him with your whole heart, He will show you, and His answer ALWAYS comes with peace. Now, the devil likes to trick us into making the wrong decisions.

He can mimic many things of God, except peace. True peace (Shalom) comes from God, and God only. Note:  If you don’t feel complete peace about making a particular decision, then STOP, put the brakes on and wait on God, as it can save you heartache.

The regrets I have in my life are those decisions that I hastily jumped into without praying first. Did I mess up? Yes, most of the time. I have realized through the years, that God knows more than me, He cares about my every need, and His ways are much better than mine…

The best advice we can give our children about choosing their life’s careers is to encourage them to pray and seek God regarding direction.  This advice could prevent many, young and old, from changing jobs and careers over and over trying to “find” happiness.

“Your Word, O Lord, is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path”  Psalm 119: 105.

Yes, Jesus is our light and He WILL show us the way. No need to be confused or worried about decisions because He is the way! Trust means “letting go” of the reins and letting our Father lead the way.

Is it a relationship you’re not sure of? Read God’s Word to see if this person aligns with God’s will. If you’re a Christian and this person you’re interested in isn’t saved or living for God, you have your answer. We are not allowed to re-write the scriptures to fit our lifestyle and desires. It doesn’t work that way. God’s Word is truth and the light to show us the way!

Following God isn’t hard. “I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me”  Psalm 16:7.

Let’s thank Him for leading us each step … I believe waiting on God is called “wisdom.”

Remember, prayer changes EVERYTHING! And praying, rest. God has is all under control.
