Starting pitcher Kris Riley finished off a five-run, fifth-inning rally with a three-run homer as West Jones beat Southeast Lauderdale, 6-2, on Saturday for its 12th consecutive win.
The Mustangs (17-1) were trailing 1-0 when Hayden Bryan hit the first of his two RBI doubles to tie it. Walker Thompson and Dustin Dickerson followed with bloop singles before Riley stepped up and launched a shot to left-center to make it 5-1.
Riley, a junior left-hander, struck out seven and allowed only one hit in four innings but Evan Bynum picked up the win in two innings of relief. He struck out two, walked two and allowed one hit. The trio combined to allow only two hits.

After dropping a 9-0 decision to perennial power West Lauderdale in The Jungle on Tuesday, the Tigers (15-4, 4-2 region) went to Collinsville on Saturday for the rematch of region leaders, but they came up short, 2-1.
Ben Ethridge, a Southern Miss commit, struck out 11 in a complete-game one-hitter. Alex Harrison’s single with one out in the seventh prevented Ethridge from pitching a perfect game. Harrison scored on Tyler Harper’s sacrifice fly.
