Don R. Grafton, 83, of Laurel passed away on Nov. 30, 2017, at MS Care Center in Raleigh.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Indian Springs Baptist Church with visitation beginning at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Indian Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Grafton was a two-year veteran of the U. S. Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of JCJC and USM and was self-employed as the owner and operator of Grafton’s Draperies and Decorating for 20 years. He was a member, deacon and Sunday school teacher at Indian Springs Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Flem Grafton and Edith Meador Grafton; son Douglas Grafton; and brothers A. D. and Burl Grafton.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years Frances Lowery Grafton; son Kimble Grafton (Tina) of Alabama; daughter Rhonda Knight (Aubrey) of Gitano; grandchildren Mandy Hegwood (Jeremiah), Meredith Moore and Katie Grafton; and great-grandchildren Nolan, Lily and Kye Hegwood.
Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Hegwood, Gary D. Meador, Garland Miles and Kyle Knight.
