Donald “Duck” Dearman, 70, of Laurel wen to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ, on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday at Memory Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Brother Leon Carmical will officiate. Interment will be at Sunset Gardens.
Mr. Dearman was a member of First Baptist Calhoun and retired from Georgia Pacific of Taylorsville. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Manzy and Anner Dearman; two brothers, Jack Dearman and Michael “Junior” Dearman; two sisters, Lucille Pippen and Mae Jewel Brooks; and sister-in-law Bobbie Dearman.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years Cherrie; daughter Bonnie Pitts; son Donnie (Stephanie) Dearman; grandson Evan Pitts; granddaughter Emma Crowder; sisters Anna Mae Blyth, Barbara Gardner and Dorothy (William) James; brothers Henry Dearman and S.R. Dearman; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers include Richey Dearman, Jason Clark, Stacy James, Chris Dearman, Grady Clark and Jeff Clark. Honorary pallbearers are the men of First Baptist Calhoun.
