Edgar Grant “Chico” Jordan, 78, of Laurel died Saturday, July 30, 2017, at South Central Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hosanna Baptist Church in Laurel. Burial will be in Oak Hill No. 2 Cemetery. Rev. Jaymar Jackson will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his parents Soloman and Birdie Jordan; nine brothers, Acie Jordan, Rev. Alpheus Jordan, Cecil Jordan, Frank Jordan, Rev. Adolph Jordan, Quincy Jordan, Charles Jordan and Joe Nathan Jordan; and four sisters, Mary Jo Jordan, Irene Dial, Eddie Hill and Drucie Lawrence.
He is survived by his wife Janease Jordan of San Francisco; three sone, John E. Jordan of San Francisco, Demetrius Morris of New York and Dewayne (Kristen) Colbert of Houston, Texas; five daughters, Priscilla (Dewayne) Daniels of Laurel, Felicia (Curtis) Hosey of Houston, Taakahisha Campbell of Atlanta and Phyllis Jordan and Patricia (Clarence) Sias, all of San Francisco; two sisters, Lucile Blakely of Laurel and Laurel Middleton of Jackson; companion for 27 years Vera Colbert of Laurel; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
