Eleanor LaRose Walker Singleton, 79, of the Sharon Community in Laurel passed from this life on April 9, 2018, at her residence.
Services are at noon Thursday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday. Interment will follow at Sharon Cemetery. Brother Matt Olson will officiate.
She was born on March 12, 1939 and was a lifelong resident of the Sharon Community. She married C.C. Singleton on Dec. 3, 1955 and had two sons and one daughter. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker.
She is survived by her loving son Acie Duane Singleton; daughter Eugenia Joann Singleton Hill; daughter-in-law Clara Nanette Hodge Singleton; sisters Gayle Walker Pitts and Rae G. Nell Walker Gray; brother Roger Dale Walker; granddaughter Suzette Singleton Sullivan and her husband Brian; grandsons Dexter Conrad Singleton and Jason Emanuel Reid; great-grandchildren Brance Sullivan and Brady Sullivan; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband C.C. Singleton; son Cecil Anthony “Tony” Singleton; father William A. Walker; mother Jessie Eleanor King Walker; sister Mary Lucille Walker Myers; and brother William Jay Walker.
Pallbearers will be Ned Walker, Dexter Singleton, Jason Reid, Tracy Pitts, Spencer Walker and Gene Walker. Honorary pallbearers are Chris Pitts and J. B. Pitts.
