Jerry “Bubba” McKinley, 62, of Taylorsville passed away suddenly in his home on July 6, 2018.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville (113 Highway 28 East). Family and friends are invited to join together at the home of Judy and Gary Hodge following the service.
Jerry was born on June 10, 1956 to the late Irece and Mac McKinley.
He attended R.H. Watkins High School as a member of the graduating class of 1974. He completed his career as a contractor for the oil company Stokes and Spiehler. In his spare time, he enjoyed sipping his cold beer, riding motorcycles, NASCAR and playing golf.
He was preceded in death by two wives, Susanne McKinley of Louisiana and Paula McKinley of Texas.
He is survived by his daughter Rev. K’Lynne McKinley (Sarah); his three grandchildren Noah, Lyrik and Salem of Ypsilanti, Mich.; sister Judy Hodge (Gary) of Taylorsville; a niece and great-niece Tarrah Hicks Allen (Ella Claire) of Laurel; nephew Sonny Hodge (Bonnie) of Jackson; and his good friend Nanette Singleton of Taylorsville.
