Visitation will be at Memory Chapel in Laurel from 5-8 p.m. on Friday. A graveside service will at 11 a.m., Saturday at Memorial Gardens, conducted by Pastor John Taylor.
Jessie Fay was born on July 27, 1932, to Bessie Rogers Melton and Wilborne Ray Melton.
She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Bessie Rae Melton Leeke, and her husband Sammy Ray Lucas.
She is survived by nephew Michael Melton Leeke; cousins Steve Tolar, Billie Mapp, Linda Rogers and many other beloved cousins. She is also survived by especially dear friends Jami Taylor, Evelyn Cobb and Irene Davis.
During her life, Jessie Fay was an active member of Second Avenue Baptist Church in Laurel, Word of Faith Temple in New Orleans, and Praise Church in Ellisville. She was a godly influence and prayer warrior for all who knew her.
She had many interests including painting and reading, and she was an avid animal lover. She will be greatly missed.
