Oscar Hubert Walker

Oscar Hubert “Hu” Walker, 92, formerly of Laurel, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 in Oxford.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday at Memory Chapel with a graveside service to follow at 11 a.m. at Lake Park Hills Cemetery.
He was a native of Jackson where he attended school and enlisted in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Walker was employed with G.E. Corporation and RCA Whirlpool for many years and retired in 1992 from the automobile business. He was a member of Franklin United Methodist Church in Laurel.
He was predeceased by his wife Joyce Tyler Walker and his son James Dana Walker. He is survived by daughters Libbye Bryant (Jack) of Trussville, Ala., Cathy Ballard (Mike) of Saltillo and Karen Bond (Terry) of Heidelberg; sister Jean Howie (David) of Brandon; three brothers, James Walker (Ginger) of Waynesboro, Billy Walker of Jackson and Henry Wiltshire (Sherry) of Brandon; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
